Description: L’Ecole № 41 is a third-generation, family-owned winery located in the historic Frenchtown School depicted on their label. Founded in 1983 by Jean and Baker Ferguson as a retirement project, they were the third winery established in the Walla Walla Valley. The founders believed that Washington State wines could rival the best of the Old World. Today, they are one of the most prominent Washington State wineries in key global markets.
This full-bodied Syrah shows robust, fruit-forward aromas of blueberry, chocolate, thyme, and spice box accentuated with hints of violet, sage, and anise. Juicy, dark fruit flavors laced with spice reveal themselves on the velvety palate with an immensely pleasurable mouth-filling finish. Washington State’s winegrowing region is ideally suited to maximize the full expression of Syrah. Spicy, rich, and complex, with soft tannins and bright acidity makes it a perfect food pairing wine.
