Description: Shafer Vineyards in the Stags' Leap district of Napa Valley, California, is an iconic family-owned winery, named one of the top 25 vineyards in the world by the wine publication Wine & Spirits and “one of the world’s greatest wineries” by wine critic Robert M. Parker, Jr.
The Chardonnay is produced from small-clustered clones selected for their low yields and distinctive flavors. Aromas of buttercream, banana, and marjoram. The palate reveals bright acidity and a round mouthfeel. Notes of apple, savory herb, and a pinch of salt. Excellent food wine but can be served as an aperitif during the fall and winter months.
