This wine is based on grapes from 60 year old vines of the local variety Monastrell (known in France as Mouvedre). The extremely arid climate in this part of the world leads to the production of low yielding vines with very concentrated grapes, which gives this wine its depth of color and amazing flavors.
Deep ruby red color with purple hue. On the nose we find wonderful plum, blackberry, and white pepper. The wine is round and juicy on the palate with soft, light tannins and balanced acidity. Good fruit intensity with nice top soil undertones.
Food Pairing: Red meat, red sauce, grilled and rustic dishes.
