Slightly sweet, fruity, sparkling red wine. Best enjoyed with a slight chill, Lambrusco is a friendly wine that’s slightly sweet with notes of dark black fruits and ripe berries on the palate. A clean, dry finish. Locals drink this wine with almost everything from appetizers -- especially salamis and prosciuttos -- to main dishes, to dessert. The DOC label of Lambrusco di Sorbara is reserved for the sparkling wine in the Modena province of the Emilia-Romagna region made from two indigenous varietals: Lambrusco di Sorbara and Lambrusco Salamino.
