Description: Located in the hills of the ancient Roman city of Mevania, now Bevagna, for this reason they have chosen MEVANTE as the name of their estate. Producing wines from indigenous Umbrian grapes: Sagrantino, Grechetto and Trebbiano (Birbantéo). The Birbantéo is the local name for the Trebbiano grape and we can see why they chose to label the bottle Birbantéo. This Trebbiano is not your simple bulk wine, this Trebbiano is magnificent in taste, texture, and staying power.
Food pairings: Grilled beef, cheese (aged and/or strong flavored), game birds, lamb, short ribs, BBQ, etc.
