Description: Guidalberto is from the producer of the legendary Sassicaia. Tenuta San Guido created the world's first "Super Tuscan" and after 32 years decided to make a second wine from the same estate grapes (2nd pick), Guidalberto. Oenologist, Giacomo Tachis is a legend in Tuscany. Creating an entirely new genre of Italian wine, now known as a "Super Tuscan". His collaborations created the greatest super-tuscans in existence Sassicaia, Solaia, Tiganello, and San Leonardo (outside of Tuscany).
The 2017 is dark burgundy in color. Aromas of cured meat, garrique herbs, and evergreen at first approach. After some aeration the aromas are more defined. The palate exhibits polished tannins and excellent length as savory characteristics of worcestershire, balsamic, and graphite layered underneath cassis and black fruit.
