Description: Centopassi is the winemaking soul of Libera Terra cooperatives that cultivate lands in Sicily seized from the mafia. The vineyards are located in the Alto Belice Corleonese, an overwhelmingly beautiful territory, which is particularly suitable for high quality wine production. Vast and untainted landscapes, high altitudes that exceed 3,000 feet above the sea level, calcareous peaks and predominantly clay-rich soils make this corner of the Mediterranean an ideal place for winegrowing and unlike most stereotypes attributed to Sicilian wine. The wines display the characteristics of each vineyard, soil and grape variety. Here elegance prevails, freshness is everywhere, ensuring wine drinkability thanks to the painstaking care for the vineyards and winemaking process, which emphasize the maximum expression of the fruit. Aromas of white flowers and sea-breeze, dry throughout the palate with volcanic ash and dried lemon characteristics.
