Description: Located just outside Béziers, Château de Raissac is an exceptional estate with 80 hectares under vine. It has been the home and passion of the Viennet family since 1828. The Château has been dedicated to craftsmanship for generations, combining the two passions of wine and art. Behind the label “Domaine de Raissac,” you will find a harmonious and lively Languedoc vineyard with a mosaic of soils that have been cultivated since Roman times. Each vineyard boasts vines specifically selected for that particular soil and micro-climate. This diversity of land creates wines with strong personalities, as well as varietal and blended wines. The Viognier display a 10k yellow gold color with a slight green hue. On the nose, aromas of stone fruit, pear, and a touch of butterscotch. The palate is completely dry with lower acidity creating a softer texture. Light-to- medium bodied with balanced alcohol (no heat spikes) which can be difficult for some Viognier's. The fruit is restrained without being too ripe, displaying notes of quince and mineral stone.
