Description: Dreaming of one day being able to produce Barolo, the Faccenda family purchased this winery in 2003. The vineyards lie just outside of Monforte, the vines are 30/40 years old, with soils of clay and sand. Guidobono’s wines are textbook interpretations of the indigenous grapes of the Langhe. Fruit driven, juicy, and austere yet approachable. Light red burgundy color, transparent through the center. Aromas of red fruit and ganache. On the palate, medium-bodied with ripe tannins and slightly gripping. Bright acidity upfront with wild mountain berries with a undertone of tar toward the finish.
