Description: Chehalem Mountains AVA is the highest point in the Willamette Valley. Carabella specifically sits on a patch of gravelly volcanic soils. These soils offer excellent drainage and impart the crisp minerality and elegant tannins for which Carabella’s wines are known. The aromas express prominent scents of Asian pear and a white floral bouquet, followed by hints of lemon peel and subtle mineral undertones. A crisp entry on the palate with flavors of green apple and apricot supported by a creamy mid palate. The finish is refreshingly mouthwatering with a light saline edge.
Food Pairing: Dungeness crab, fish tacos, Asian cuisine, creamy pasta, soft and creamy cheese, curries, coconut etc.
