Description: In 2018, Andrea Quaglia embarked on an adventure to make high-end, natural wine using indigenous varieties. Having a family history in wine made it easier when his Nonno (grandfather), who had been making wine for 40 years, left his oldest vineyards for Andrea. Controguerra, part of the DOCG Colline Teramane, is famous for its Montepulciano and Trebbiano grape varietals, as well as its rich biodiversity. The vines are 40-45 years old and have been farmed using biodynamic principles since 2020, All the wines are fermented and aged in concrete tanks allowing for the purest expressions of the Teramo hills.
