Norway was under prohibition from 1916 to 1926, making it difficult for our company’sfounder, Thomas Bache-Gabrielsen, to carry out his business in his home country. Throughout this period alcohol could only be purchased from pharmacies, Thomas Bache-Gabrielsen had the genius idea of replacing the traditional Three Stars with Three Red Crosses, which are still present on the labels today, but in white.
Aromas of vanilla from Limousine oak, then those of citrus fruits and spices. The taste is subtle and fruity with a long and fresh finish. This blend is the successful marriage of powerful young eaux-de-vie with a more mature cognac.
