The first Geyersville Zinfandel was made in 1966, it's the most complex and age-worthy Zinfandel blend they produce. Paul Draper, who has recently step down as head winemaker is known throughout the world as a top producer of great natural wines. Geyserville is a traditional field blend of zinfandel and its complementary varieties: carignane, petite sirah, and mataro (mourvedre). Each vintage is unique, distinct, extraordinary… yet they do have elements in common, including the blackest of blackberry fruit, ripe plum, rich cherry, and cedar.
