Description: Domaine de la Pousse d'Or has been a collector's choice for decades for expressive, memorable wines from Burgundy's most hallowed terroirs. In 1855, the winery was part of a larger domaine that included Romanee-Conti and Clos de Tart. In 1964 Gerard Potel purchased a portion of the land and vineyards and created Domaine de la Pousse D'Or. Potel was one of Burgundy’s most respected winemakers until his death in 1997. Patrick Landanger, a businessman partnered alongside Potel and has since taken over the estate with the Potel philosophy in mind. Aromas of dark plum, incense, and black raspberry. The earth tones are all about barnyard, musk, and leather. This is a wine that will continue to develop over time with very seductive characteristics.
