Grape: 100% Malvasia Istriana. Region: Slovenia> Istria>Marezige & Truske. Notes: Extended skin-contact (orange wine), certified organic.
Description: Rodica family vineyards are planted at 250-350 meters above sea level, terraced, facing South. The picturesque hills near Marezige and Truške are located approximately 5 km from the Adriatic sea, more specifically the Gulf of Trieste. The soil is rich with minerals, predominantly consisting of limestone. The vines are forced to "fight" to get water, which results in better quality grapes. The nose offers aromas of wild flowers, peach, chamomile, almonds and nuts, with delicate notes of vanilla and exotic citrus. The wine is medium-bodied, rich and textured on the palate with depth, rounded out with fine, grainy tannins and minerality. We strongly recommend decanting and allowing the wine to breathe for at least 30-45 minutes in a decanter before consuming.
Food pairings: Pasta with truffles, goat cheese, prosciutto, charcuterie, grilled fish, pork tenderloin in a creamy butter sauce, calamari, lobster, or roasted poultry, etc.
