Description: Bodega Laukote is a family-run winery located in Laguardia, in southern Álava, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria. This area is known as the Rioja Alavesa, and is home to some of the best denomination of origin (D.O.) wines in the world. Norberto Miguel owns and farms the biodynamic estate. The wine is from a special selection of Tempranillo grapes from a 3 hectares plot of old vines, some over 98 years old. This type of vineyard is becoming increasingly rare in Álava due to its low grape yields, but it offers a wine with exceptional color and aroma.
