Product description

Description: Domaine “Lou Fréjau” was created in 1982 by Christiane Chastan, oenology laboratory assistant and granddaughter of Italian winegrowers. Serge Chastan, freshly graduated from Lycée Viticole d’Orange, also grandson of a winegrower. A small farm in the Châteauneuf Du Pape vineyard built in rolled pebbles (“Fréjau” in local language) has given its name at the family estate. The prestigious Châteauneuf Du Pape appellation, is classified as one of the most prestigious in France. It should be noted that it was the first AOC created in France in 1923 by Baron Le Roy Boiseaumarié. A clay-limestone soil flooded with pebbles, bathed in sunshine and swept by the Mistral winds provides them with dry weather conducive to the development of the 13 grape varietals that are allowed to blended in Chateauneuf du Pape.
