Description: In the village of Conca de Barberà D.O., an unparalleled setting for its natural and architectural beauty, and exceptional wine. The Josep Foraster property, has been cultivating vineyards and olive since 1828. the first expansion was done by Ramon Maria Foraster (1893-1956) at the beginning of 20th century. During the Spanish Civil War a important part of the property was lost. Some years later Ramon Maria’s son, Josep Foraster Roselló (1923- 2015) recovered a big part of the property and started a farming exploratation. During this period, most of the grapes were sold to Montblanc’s wine cooperative. Since 1998 they have established a family winery, 100% homegrown, organic wine, limited production, and control of the whole process from the vineyard to bottle. This ensures the best quality of their grapes and excellence in the wine. The sparkling wine is pale gold (10K) in color with a nice amount of atmospheric pressure creating fine bubbles. Aromas of baked quince and shortbread yeast. The palate exhibits a full mouthfeel with a soft mousse overlay and dancing bubbles. A touch of salt, dried pear, and smoked fish sauce on the mid-palate.
