Description:The history of the Vietti winery traces its roots back to the 19th Century. Since then the family has made a name for Vietti's single-vineyard Barolos and Barberas. Luca Currado joined the family business as winemaker after working at renowned wineries such as Simi, Opus One, Long Vineyards, and Bordeaux's Mouton-Rothschild. His innovative winemaking utilizes a unique combination of modern and traditional practices.
Brick-Mahogany color and transparent towards the rim. Intense aromas of cherry blossom, vanilla, and dried mushrooms. The palate is firm with upfront tannins that go the length of the palate. Medium-bodied but ethereal. Exhibiting notes of tar, sweet cherry wood, and garrigue. This is a superb value, showing elegance and with an impressively long finish.
