Product description

Description: Haut de la Becade is a family estate making wine for several generations. Pauillac is a special appellation in the Haut-Medoc region of Bordeaux that makes highly sought after wines because of there balance, finesse, and the ability to age gracefully. Owned since 1933 by the Rainaud family located next to some of the most famous Chateau's in Pauillac including Chateau Lynch Bages, Chateau Pichon Baron, and Chateau Pichon Lalande de Comtesse. Chateau Haut de la Becade is a hidden gem, flying under the radar when it comes to price and excellent quality.

The 2010 displays deep dark burgundy color still impressively showing it's youth with a ruby hue at the rim of the glass. Classic Pauillac aromas of lovely cassis, evergreen forest, and vanilla-cream. The tannins are well integrated with a soft, dusty texture. Great acid/ alcohol balance with medium to full-bodied weight. This wine shows good clay and mineral-granite character along the length of the palate; while being encased in mulberries, roots, violet and loam essence. This wine is absolutely delicious now (Drink Now) and will continue to get better through the next 3 to 5 years. - evaluated 8/3/21, The Winery Staff.
