Description: Fisher’s Coach Insignia is comprised of the finest lots of Bordeaux varietals from their Calistoga Estate, which borders Eisele Vineyard at the foot of The Palisades mountain range. The Estate’s well drained soils are remarkably consistent, comprised primarily of cobble stones and loam. This 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is richly-hued, opaque and dark garnet in color. Aromas of black cherry, tobacco leaf and cedar leap from the glass. Massive on the palate, this wine is built to last with solid tannic structure and great linear progression. Initial flavors of black cherry, ripe blueberry, bramble blackberry and dark plum progress to reveal spices including cardamom and a hint of cinnamon, culminating with a long lingering finish dominated by red berry fruit and rose petal. Striking the ideal balance of strength and finesse, 2009 Coach Insignia offers immediate satisfaction along with the structure to age gracefully for many years ahead!
Anticipated maturity: Now -2024.
