Description: Fisher’s Coach Insignia is comprised of the finest lots of Bordeaux varietals from their Calistoga Estate, which borders Eisele Vineyard at the foot of The Palisades mountain range. The Estate’s well drained soils are remarkably consistent, comprised primarily of cobble stones and loam. The wine is a powerful, graceful, minerally expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. Absolutely outstanding wine from a family domaine quietly making some of the best wines in Napa Valley. The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon-Coach Insignia is a big, rich wine bursting with complex fruit. It shows quite a bit more density and power than the 2008 while still being light on its feet. The expansive, voluptuous finish is captivating.
Opaque ruby. Complex, intensely perfumed aromas of cassis, cherry-vanilla, violet and pipe tobacco. Lush, palate-coating dark fruit flavors, savory herbs and an attractive pliancy. The wine will continue to develop over the next several years.
Anticipated maturity: Now -2024.
