Grapes: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot

Description: This is the second offering from the one of very few organic producers in Bordeaux, Chateau Michalet. The aromas are somewhat closed due to its youth but there is clearly some dark earth tones being expressed. On the palate the wine is medium to full-bodied with good chewy tannins. Excellent acidity (medium) and balanced alcohol. This is a terroir-driven red with lovely mineral iron, black currants, and bramble. Finishes with hints of loam and vanilla.
