Very similar to the white wines of Puligny-Montrachet with perhaps an extra note of richness. The winemakers of Chassagne-Montrachet take their profession seriously. The Domaine Jean-Marc Pillot has been very consistent in producing stellar wines with concentrated flavors notable for their abundant fruit and complex soil tones. Jean-Marc Pillot Jr. assumed control of the operation in 1991 from his father and has taken the estate to new heights in regard to quality. Suggested Pairing: Fish, Dover Sole, Scallops, raw bar, ceviche, crabmeat, butter or white cream sauces, lobster (steamed), salmon, trout, etc.
