Description: Chateau de Castelneau is a small family owned winery in the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, which refers to the promontory contained between the two rivers and cleared by the Knights Templar and Benedictine monks for the elevation of wines. The estate vineyards have been in the family for 200 years. Made in the traditional vinification method, this smooth red is aged in barrels for 6 to 9 months for a matured roundness and an elegant structure; it has an inviting bouquet of fruit, spice and a hint of earthiness. The “superieur” classification assures this rounded red is a notch above a standard Bordeaux red.
Food pairing: Very versatile, grilled steak, hearty stews, roasted vegetables, etc.
