En Paradis—“in paradise”—refers to a vineyard owned by Régine and Jean Rijckaert. The wine shows tangy, juicy green citrus and lemon oil which are overlaid by pineapple acidity. Intense sensation with a very round mouthfeel. The aftertaste is steeped in the minerality of the blue clays of the plot En Paradis. Jean Rijckaert is arguably one of France’s best winemakers, who emigrated from Holland to the Macon in 1990 to work with the legendary Jean-Marie Guffens in the Macon called Verget. “Consumers should flock to Jean Rijckaert’s (pronounced “ray-cart”) wines for the incredible combination of quality and value they deliver.” – Wine Advocate.
Food Pairing: white meats or seafood with rich, buttery sauce, aged cheese, etc.
