Description: Dornier Wine Estate is situated at the foot of Stellenbosch Mountain in the famous wine sub-region, The Golden Triangle. The focus at Dornier lies on the production of premium quality red and white wines that are expressive of the unique terroir of the area. Ancient decomposed granite soils found on cool, south facing slopes lead to the production of elegant wines of complex structure. However, the Chenin Blanc is sourced from old bush vine vineyards located in Swartland. The soil consists of decomposed granite with a sandy composure. The vines are dry-farmed and yield intensely rich, perfumed fruit. The nose shows intense stone fruit and white pear, with hints of oxidase and perfume. The palate is medium-bodied with concentrated flavor of bosc pear, dried apricots and a hint of spice. Long mineral-stone finish.
