Product description

Description: Since the early 1900’s the Rafanelli family has been growing grapes and making wine in the Dry Creek Valley. Four generations later they remain dedicated to carrying on the family tradition. The focus has always been quality not quantity! They take pride in working hard to produce consistently exceptional wine every year, specializing in some of the finest Zinfandel in the country. Rafanelli does not try to create a heavily extracted fruit bomb, their focus is always on creating complexity and refinement. Soft burgundy color with a light ruby color at the rim. The nose displays wild black raspberry, cassis, and forest mountain air. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a rich silky texture layered with light chewy tannins. Cassis and cool menthol throughout the length of the palate with eucalyptus, chocolate, and dried currants on the finish. This wine will continue to improve until + 2024.

Food pairings: Spicy Asian cuisine, barbecued (pork, chicken), strong cheeses (blue, teta, stilton), duck, eggplant, game, lamb, Mexican, wild mushroom dishes, venison, boar sausages, merguez sausages, etc.
