Description: James and Janet Moss established their estate in 2010 after working a full time job in the wine industry. James spent evenings and weekends learning the intricacies of winemaking. Fortunate to have the opportunity to work alongside two phenomenal winemakers in the Valley; Mark Jessup, former winemaker from Jessup Cellars, Robert Mondavi and Opus One and now winemaker at J. Gregory Wines, and subsequently with Gustavo Brambila, former winemaker for Chateau Montelena, Grgich Hills and now part owner/winemaker of Gustavo Wines. J. MOSS philosophy is to produce age-worthy yet full-bodied, complex and elegantly balanced wines that reflect their attention to detail and appeal to everyday wine drinkers as well as serious wine connoisseurs.
This wine is lush, full-bodied and surprisingly balanced. It has ample layers of bright and succulent fruits including black and red berries, cherries with hints of mocha, sweet vanilla and toasted cedar. Fine tannins round out this structured, well balanced wine with a delightful long finish.
