Description: Black Cottage gets its name from the original family home, now a guest house, that expresses the welcoming nature of the Clouston family and wine team. Sanna Stander is the winemaker and guru behind the balanced and refreshing wines of Black Cottage. Originally from South Africa, she has made wine on three different continents. Combined with the worldwide experience of owner David Clouston, they bring a lot of experience to this exciting winery. They've created a Sauvignon Blanc which brings balance, minerality, and drink-ability to the bountiful fruit. This expressive wine has a nose full of fresh yellow grapefruit, apricot, cucumber, gooseberry, and tomato leaf. The lively palate is packed full of citrus and stone fruits, white pepper, with a delicious
line of salinity and a refreshingly dry finish.
