Description: Established in 1858 by Amedee-Edouard DOR, scion of an old Cognac family. After more than 70 years of selecting the best grapes and ageing in oak casks, free from blending and mixing, A.E. DOR has the largest humid cellar of wax-sealed Eau de Vie. The village of Borderies and Fins Bois is the primary source of the estate fruit that makes this wonderful Cognac. Cognac: French Cognac law requires all V.S. Cognac to be aged a minimum of 2 years. A.E. DOR V.S. Cognac is aged 5 years. Almost the same requirement for an X.O. (The French government X.O. requirement has been recently changed from a minimum of 6 years to 10 years).
