Description: Created in 1964 by Gerard Potel, one of Burgundy’s most respected winemakers until his death in 1997. Patrick Landanger, a businessman partnered alongside Potel has since taken over the estate with the Potel philosophy in mind. The wine of Chambolle-Musigny will have femininity and elegance as their driving force. However the Pousse d’Or tend to add an dimension of power and muscle to match. The wine exhibits garnet color with a light ruby color at the rim. Aromas of dried meats, barnyard, leather, and cherry compote. Upfront the palate has good acidity with classic bittersweet cherry. The tannins are slightly dusty but polished (velvety). Long, gorgeous finish of cherry-pomegranate and soft mineral tone throughout the length of the palate.
