Description: Vineyards at 3,000 ft. above sea level and hand-harvested. Vinos del Viento means "Wines of the wind" and Michael Cooper intends to create beautifully complex wines with balance and finesse. From old bush vines in the mountainous region of Villarroya de la Sierra, consider extreme viticulture and "Extreme Garanachas". High elevation helps create a slower growing season with cooler climates at night. Some of the vines are over 60 years old with an average age of 35 years. Perfumed nose showing red fruit aromas with notes of thyme, lavender, and Mediterranean spices. This is a dry wine on the palate with soft tannins with a juicy core and long finish.
Food pairings: Roasted chicken, grilled vegetables, pasta salad, risotto, mushrooms, and pork dishes, etc.
