Grape: 100% Nebbiolo. Region: Italy> Piedmonte> Barolo> Monforte d’Alba> Mosconi Vyd. Notes: 60 year old vines, 350 meters ABS. South, Southeast facing slopes. Indigenous yeast without sulfites, hand-picked and sorted.
Description: The Parusso family history dates back to 1901 when their grandfather, Gaspare Parusso purchased his first vineyards in Barolo. In 1971 the second generation headed by Marco Parusso went from a family of growers to a family of vintners. The philosophy is based in natural farming and sustainability. The “Mosconi” Barolo is a beautiful, approachable Barolo even in its early stages. Expanded aromas of garrigue herbs (fennel, thyme, and lavender) with hints of Cherry compote. On the palate the wine displays sturdy (medium), slightly chewy tannins with notes of red currants, cedar, roasted herbs and with a long cherry tobacco finish.
