Grapes: 60% Gruner Veltliner, 10% Weissburgunder, 30% Sauvignon Blanc. Region: Austria> Burgenland> Neusiedl am See. Notes: Bio-dynamic farming, unfined/ unfiltered, wild yeast, very low sulfites.
Description: Alexander and Maria Koppitsch took over their family winery in 2011. Located on rolling hills of limestone and sandy soils (homok is Hungarian for ‘sand’) between Neusiedl Lake and Leitha Mountains. The whole plot is flat, dry and very windy. Since Seefeld is hot and straight in the haze of lake Neusiedl, the grapes grow very intense aromas. They list this beautiful peach colored wine under their ‘fun wines’ series.
