Description: The king of the Italian grape, Nebbiolo, produces many highly acclaimed wines, such as Barolo and Barbaresco. This Nebbiolo from the commune of d’Alba with highly aromatic and beautifully balanced characteristics exhibits the same dignity but in an extremely affordable bottle. Powerful and elegant, with typical notes of black cherry, chocolate, and dried currants. The tannins are refined and adds structure to the wine. The fruit is surrounded by earth tones of dried mushrooms, cigar-box, and umami. The aging lasted 32 months, of which 24 are in large Slovenian oak casks, 2 months in stainless steel and 6 months in the bottle for proper development of the wine.
Food Pairing: Red meat and game. Rich sauces.
