Grapes: 100% Riesling
Region: Germany> Nahe> Kreuznach> Kronenberg Vyd.
Description: Americans have been inundated with Riesling from the Mosel since fist importing German wines. However, that is not the only show in town. Rieslings from the Nahe are distinctively good to great due to the volcanic slopes and red slate most vineyards sit upon. Glistening yellow-gold in color. Aromas of ripe pineapple and elderflowers. The palate exhibits a round, juicy mouth feel displaying white peach, apricot, and candied lemon. The finish tends to be long and true to its luscious but complex style.
Food Pairing: Aperitif, pork, Asian cuisine, spicy Caribbean cuisine, fruit salads, pastries. Asiago, Brie, Blue, and Gorgonzola cheeses, etc.
