Spicy, fruity, Med/full-bodied red Grape: 100% Shiraz (Syrah) Region: Australia> New South Wales> Hunter Valley. Notes: Matured in new and used French and American oak barrels. Description: Michael and Karen Hope established Hope Estate in 1994 located in Hunter Valley. The vineyards and terroir were considered exceptional and the wine became a household name. The Basalt block produces earthy, peppery flavors with generous black fruit without being too jammy or heavy. Mix of older and new oak creates a well-balanced Shiraz. Enjoy tonight with or without food. Food Pairing: red meats, game, charcuterie, hard cheese.
