Strength: 42% ABV (84 PROOF) In the Lhéraud family, the art of crafting cognac and armagnac has flowed from generation to generation since 1802. Craftsmen as well as winegrowers, Guy, Andrée and Laurent Lhéraud are heirs to the secrets that evolve in abundance in their precious eaux-de-vie. In their world, aging is an art to be perfected and maturity is a coveted treasure. Heralded for their exceptional and rare vintages, Cognac Lhéraud and Baron Gaston Legrand highlight the Lhéraud family’s mastery of their craft, their terroir and their rich history. Lhéraud cognacs are aged in Limousin and Tronçais oak barrels, some for decades. Young cognacs are put into new barrels for a few years, which impart oaky flavors; after this period, the cognacs are transferred into older barrels for longer and proper aging. The Cognac Cuvée 10 was aged for 10 years in oak. ** Petite Champagne is a geographic zone of Cognac production of approximately 66,000 hectares, of which about 15,000 are dedicated to wines destined for cognac. It is situated in the départements of Charente and Charente-Maritime.
