Strength: 46.3% ABV (92.6 proof) Description: Deanston is an artisan whisky, one that is carfted the traditional way. This Malt is produced with only ever use Scottish grown crops, meaning all of our malted barley is sourced from local farmers, before being milled into grist and tested by hand, to ensure the perfect mix of quick and slow natural sugars. All of the Deanston whiskies are unchill-filtered which means, you count the time, devotion and commitment that goes into every bottle. Each bottle is crafted by hand to give you the authentic, creamy, sweet, honey blossom taste that is unmistakably Deanston. The Virgin Oak is first matured in ex-bourbon casks, from a family run cooperage in Kentucky, giving the liquuid a wonderful zesty character. It is then finished in new oak barrels, which add subtle spiced aromas to the whisky. Definition: Scotch Whisky is produced from only water and malted barley at a single distillary by batch distillation in pot stills, one that is produced entirely from malt in one distillery must be aged in oak barrels for at least 3 years. Any age statement on a bottle of Scotch whisky, expressed in numerical form, must reflect the age of the youngest whisky used to produce that product. There are four regions: the highlands, the lowlands, the Isle of Islay, and Campbeltown due to the large number of distilleries found there, the Speyside region is now recognized by the Scotch Whisky Association {SWA} as a distinct region.
