Strength: 46% ABV (92 proof)
Description: Redemption Rye is distilled among a long list of other products at Midwest Grain Products of Indiana. Redemption itself is owned by Deutsch Family Wine and Spirits along with at least a couple dozen other brands. Redemption Rye’s goal is to bring back the classic American Rye cocktail. While the Federal law states that a whiskey must 51% rye grain to be classified as a rye the Deutsch Family chose to push the grain content to 95%. Beautiful flavored rye spice with light floral and citrus notes.
Definition: American Rye is a whiskey distilled from at least 51% rye. Must be aged in charred, new oak barrels (mainly American Oak). In order to be classified as a American “Straight” Rye whiskey it has to be aged for at least two years.
